Katie Gardner Harvey: Founder, CEO
Katie began her agency at the age of 24 with one employee — herself — and $2,000. In 17 years she has grown her full-service public relations and advertising firm from its humble origins to a debt-free, multi-million dollar company. KGBTexas is now one of the largest, woman-owned strategic communication agencies in Texas and employs nearly 40 full-time people.
Melody Patrick: Vice President

Her experience in design and marketing within the health care industry ranges includes national organizations, hospitals, medical practices, device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, hospital foundations as well as dental and vision practices. Melody has worked with national clients such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Accredo Health Group, Medtronic and Studer Group as well as regional medical brands such as St. Bernards Healthcare, Doctor’s Health Group and Healthcare Medical Group.
Jill Byrd: Director of Public Relations
With more than a decade of experience on both the client and agency side, Jill recognizes that public relations is more than just effective communication, it is about relationships. From a marketing assistant at the Illinois State University Student Health Services to the director of public information at the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center to guiding various health care and physician groups in between, Jill understands that the most strategic marketing and public relations plans often require a combination of communication methods including print, spoken, electronic or across social media.
