Vela at Paloma Blanca

  • Challenge:

    The owners of Paloma Blanca Mexican Cuisine opened a wine bar next door to the restaurant. Customers were not aware the wine bar existed. And, just as Vela opened, the economy fell into recession.

    KGBTexas created a strategic plan with targeted messaging to local and regional food editors to generate awareness via media reviews. Elements focused on the stylish ambience and unique menu offerings along with the affordability of the happy hour and other specials throughout the week.
  • Result:

    Vela received several favorable reviews in the media and was included in the “Best New Restaurants to Try in 2009” feature by a top San Antonio magazine.  The wine bar’s profile and customer base continue to grow.
